Needless to say, the Cup doesn't bear our name this year. Regardless, it was quite an experience.

Midger turned in a very good performance. As for me, there was a whole lot of coulda' - shoulda' - woulda', but a good fisherman will convert those opportunities into scoring fish. I merely converted them into profanity wringing through the canyons.

The ability of some of those FIPsters to extract fish from the most barren looking water was UnGodly. Congratulations to all of them.

Stay tuned for a full report with pics..

You guys will always be winners in my book. Can't wait to see the full report.

I'm afraid someone is going to have to splain the scoring system to me. I know I'm not the sharpest tool out in the woodshed but I'll be Joe-dogged if I can figure it out :^) Do they deduct points for excessive use of the old sailor tongue?

They must. I sounded like Happy Gilmore after he missed an easy putt. I think I may have also lost some points after I tried to measure a few that I had already cleaned and rolled in bread crumbs. Leaving the heads on might help too.

Seriously, there was some stellar fishing talent there, and more importantly, the friendliness and sportsmanship qualified all as Brothers of the Angle. The Youth Teams were particularly impressive.

I know exactly what you mean. I was a controller for the Youth Team on a tributary to Devils Hole a couple of years back.

Those kids sure are big tippers :^)

Sounds like you had a great time. I'm really looking forward to a full report with pictures.
Leaving the heads on will definitely help your overall score. Serving paella to the judges will guarantee placing in the top 5.

I checked the scoring each day and was somewhat puzzled with the results. Seems the Blue had no fish. Other observations were made, but I forget what they were! Our Pro Staffers performed well. They made us proud.
