2011 Baetis Summit

The 2010 Baetis Summit was a great success. Fishing, fellowship and food. The Chief had to endure a TU State Council Youth Committee Meeting during the opening hours. Midger was already catching fish at the Sycamore Run. After the meeting, the Chief and Midger joined forces and sight fished for bluegills. Bowhunter introduced a cocktail that will rival Yucca as a deadly sin. A combination of apple cider, apple juice and grain alcohol. Tastes like apple pie. Elliott was scarfing down Oreo's and casting like a pro. After hammerin the dumb trout, GregG polished off several of the Fair Maiden's Golbaki. The Goose repented during Lent and joined the troop on this snowless day. GlenG served an incredible clam chowder that would compete with any chowder served in NE. JonK loves fly fishing and beer. Midger was presented with the Prestigious Chief's Award for bagging the Triple Trophy in 2010. Yes, we caught fish. None were measured.

Chief said...: That stuff was simply nasty. Drank two glasses and my hands went numb. Even thought we were at Poe Paddy and tried to find the Mobile Command Unit at Site 101.

The QUOTABLE FISHERMAN

I once tried breeding chickens to obtain an olive dun hackle. While in the feed store buying mash for my flock, I engaged in conversation with a rather annoying woman. I suspected she was a flatlander. She began asking question after question about how I was raising these rather ungodly birds. You see, some were bright green in color. Then came the most annoying question of all. “How many times a year do you skin those chickens?” I calmly replied, “Just once, ma’am; any more than that they get meaner than hell.”

The RBF Pro Staff

The RBF Pro Staff is an elite cast of fly fishing characters with unique and varied talents. The RBF Pro Staff was assembled by RatherBFishin aka Chief during the Big Woods Summit of 2006 along the banks of the First Fork of the Sinnamahoning after witnessing or otherwise learning of various ungodly fishing accomplishments.

The RBF Pro Staff became famous for its ungodly posts on a forum hosted by a local fly shop.

Members of the RBF Pro Staff can catch fish in a sewer. The RBF Pro Staff enjoys both food and drink.

We open doors for women. That applies to all women, regardless of looks. There are no ugly women, some are just prettier than others.
