7th ANNUAL BIG WOODS SUMMIT

Mike B enjoying himself somewhere

The BWS with be held at the Five Star Rossiter Lodge May 25 - May 30.  Reserve your bunk now with Bowhunter.  The Rossiter Lodge now features air conditioning, hot showers and TV so you won't miss the NHL Playoffs.  Good tenting spots are available for those that like to sleep on the ground.  There will be plenty of food.  There will be a Paella Night.  The Chief also plans to smoke a turkey.

Don't forget to make your plans with Bowhunter, VP of Culinary Affairs.

Bowhunter, I think that is Mike B and not Agrontrutta. I'm not that handsome!

Hope everyone has a great time at Big Woods. Tip your hat to the Tannery for me and don't eat too much paella. I would urge moderation but I doubt anyone would listen.

I want the bunk next to Bowhunter.

Matt, it’s the chief with the bad eyesight.
Your tent site will be retired this year.
Maybe one of these years you can plan a May trip back to PeeAaa for some fishing and make BWS. Regardless you will be greatly missed. I’ll be sure to venture down to your spot and see what I can rustle up.

RBF Girl, no bunk next to mine, but I can make room in my bunk.

Geeze, Mike B's fish photo is worthy of inclusion in a Charlie Meck guide book. Check that, maybe not. While the trout is in the requisite slot length (4"-6"), Mike doesn't have a 35 mm SLR with massive lens around his neck.

Pulled that photo out of the RBF archive obviously without much review.

Official Reservation Notice Submitted.

That's right folks I'm actually going to make this one.

Imagine smokin' a turkey is easier than smokin' a whitefish, long as the feathers are dry. Should stay lit better than them wet slimy whities. Just don't inhale.

Save my bunk. I may miss other summits, but the BWS is just too important!

Smokin' a turkey ain't easy. Anyone can deep fry a young hen; only a chosen few can smoke. The short list includes the Chief.

"Soc un gran xef!"

Smoked steelhead will be served as a tapas at the paella feast.

The picture does not do that fish justice, it was clearly toward the upper end of GregG's slot limit. Besides, he fought like hell.

I have no idea where I was, but it's obvious I wasn't alone.

I've been plagiarized! That's my photo from fishing with Bowman in Virginny last year.

Chief, I think its time to lay off of the head cement and Vicadin cocktails for a while.....

Matt, You'll be missed! Of course, you can still come if you want. You can vacate the icebox, and come here where we're in the midst of our monsoon and tornado season.

My plan is to arrive Friday and leave Sun. Hope it stops raining by then, or I'll just have to kick back and quaff beers all day long.....

I plan to arrive on Wednesday and stay until Monday. If all goes as planned I will be bringing my new Airedale Terrier puppy named Woodrow. He needs to be socialized so I figured the BWS would be just the ticket. I just need for you gentlemen to be on your best behaviour as I don't want Woodrow to pick up on some bad habits for life. Still nursing the surgicalized foot so fishing will be limited possibly to the Shithouse Beat. I'm off Vicotin. Will be preparing a paella feast on Saturday night. Smoked turkey Thursday night.

That right there is a recipe for a good day!

Chief,

I'll make sure Smokey is on her best behavior. I wouldn't want her teaching Woodrow too many bad habits.
With all this rain we should have excellent water flows.

I'll arrive Wednesday as well.
I could have a bevy of NY Strips for Wed/Thurs dinner.
